Paula Reichenberg, CEO and founder
Paula Reichenberg is an attorney-at-law admitted to the Zurich bar. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Fribourg, she worked for three years in the M&A and Capital Markets team of Bär & Karrer AG, Zurich. She holds an MBA from INSEAD, where she graduated with honors.
Andrew Levine, managing director
After working for two years in Geneva for Lalive Avocats, Andrew Levine passed the Geneva bar exam in 2005. He then moved to New York, where he worked in client services for Schlesinger Associates, one of the country’s largest market research companies. He returned to Switzerland in late 2007, to assume his current position as managing director of Hieronymus Sàrl.
Hal Wyner, project manager / senior translator
Hal Wyner is a native New Yorker. After studying classics at Harvard, he worked as a journalist for many years in Germany, France and Israel. He is fluent in English, French and German and has 15+ years of translating experience. He has a bilingual bachelor's degree in law from the University of Fribourg and is currently completing his master's degree there. Hal also has experience as a scientific assistant in banking law at the University of Fribourg. As well as managing translation projects, Hal is in charge of the continuing development of our Legal English Course.
Louis Burrus, project manager
Louis Burrus passed the Geneva Bar exam in 2009, after working for two years in the Geneva office of Baker & McKenzie. Prior to this he worked in the Human Resources department of the Deutsche Bank in Berlin and was an intern in corporate finance at Lombard Odier in Zurich. He assisted Prof. Samantha Besson on the European Law Online project. After bilingual legal studies, Louis received his Master's degree magna cum laude from the University of Fribourg in 2007. During his studies he spent a year as an exchange student at Humboldt University in Berlin. He also holds an "International Business Transactions with Chinese Characteristics" certificate from the Summer Law Institute, Suzhou, China. Within Hieronymus Sàrl, Louis is responsible for the organization of the Connext Legal Career Fair and the Next Coaching Program.
Jan Nussbaumer, project manager
During his studies at the University of St. Gallen, Jan Nussbaumer interned with Lenz & Staehelin AG, Zurich and worked for a semester as a trainee in UBS's corporate legal department. After working for over a year Baker McKenzie in Zurich, he passed the bar exam in 2009. He is currently writing a doctoral thesis in private banking law. Within Hieronymus Sàrl, Jan manages research projects for our legal outsourcing department.
Niklaus Meier, project coordinator
Niklaus Meier studied Swiss and French law at the Universities of Fribourg in Switzerland and Paris II Panthéon Assas in France. From 2008 to 2009 he worked in the M&A and competition departments of Homburger AG, Zurich. Niklaus is currently preparing to pass the Zurich bar exam and is completing his doctoral thesis in international private law. Niklaus coordinates communications with the Faculty of Law of the University of Lucerne for the Connext Legal Career Fair and the Next Coaching Program.
Philipp Kübler, project coordinator
Philipp Kübler studied Law at the University of Zurich. He received his Master's degree, cum laude, in 2010. During his studies, he worked as a Research and Communication Assistant for the Headhunting Agency of PI-AG in Zurich and as a PR-Assistant for the Verkehrsbetriebe Glatttal. Within Hieronymus Sàrl, Philipp coordinates the organization of the Connext Legal Career Fair and the Next Coaching Program.
Philipp Estermann, research coordinator
Philipp Estermann studied Law & Economics at the University of St. Gallen with semesters at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, and at the University of Lausanne. He received his Bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in 2007. During his studies, he worked as a Student Assistant for the business law firm of Lehmann & Waldburger in Zurich and as a trainee in the Private Banking department of Credit Suisse. After finishing his Master's degree in 2010, he will start his doctoral thesis in competition law. Within Hieronymus Sàrl, Philipp manages research projects.
John McBride, IT development
John McBride gained a PhD in Physics from the University of Manchester after graduating from there, summa cum laude in Theoretical Physics. He has worked in banking; on trading floors as a Derivatives Quant and in IT where he developed pricing, risk management and e-commerce platforms.
Urs Thüring, consultant
Ur Thüring, lic. iur., MBA Bocconi, was the CEO of Swisslex for 11 years. He has also held various management positions at Reader‘s Digest, Bertelsmann Music Group, Trimedia Public Relations and General Motors Europe. He specializes in online media, in particular online business models, as well as in business development, knowledge management, marketing and sales, acquisitions and restructuring and EU market analysis. He consults for Hieronymus Sàrl on a number of projects currently under development.
In 2007, the Hieronymus project won 1st place in the 14th INSEAD Business Venture Competition.
